Trinity Dental Care

Can you help with my dental anxiety?

At Trinity Dental Care, a significant number of patients just like you are concerned about their anxiety at the dentist. We always want you to feel comfortable in our office and hope to put your mind and ears at ease with our compassionate, patient-focused dental care. We understand, however, that some patients have unexplained dental fears or anxiety that are deeply rooted and that those patients may require additional support to get the dental care they need to stay healthy. That is why we offer sedation dentistry at our Westwood, New Jersey dental office.

Sedation dentistry utilizes prescription strength sedatives to allow you to drift into a comfortable state during your treatment. While you do remain conscious for sedation dentistry, your body and mind will feel relaxed. Most patients report little or no memory of their procedures.

You will remain sedated throughout your treatment and will probably feel groggy the rest of the day. You might feel a little tired the next day, but most people report being able to resume their regular activities after a goo night’s sleep.

We will ask for a full medical history before prescribing sedation medication because your safety is our number one priority! We will rule out any drug interactions with other medications and make sure you don’t have any conditions that might make it risky for you to have sedation during your dental treatment.
